The length of a regular garden is 8 feet longer than it's width. The garden's perimeter is 180 feet. Find the width of the garden.

    x+8 is the width

    x is the length

    x+8+x=2x+8

    Multiply that by 2 because a regular graden is a rectangle.

    (2x+8) x2 = 4x+16
