We already know that Rona used 2 pounds of meat in her mixture. Since she divided the whole mixture in to 4 equal portions, we can assume there is an equal amount of meat in each.

    2/4=0.5, or one half.

We now know there's half a pound of meat in each portion. Since 3-0.5=2.5, we know that there's also 2.5 pounds of vegetables in each portion as well.

However, there are 4 portions, each with 2.5 lb of vegetables. To find the total amount of vegetables, we have to multiply 4 and 2.5 together.

    4 times 2.5 = 10.

The total amount of chopped vegetables Rona used in the mixture is 10 pounds.
