Two classmates got together over the weekend to do their assigned History reading. Savannah can read 1 page per minute, while Liam can read 3 pages per minute. When they met, Savannah had already read 62 pages, and Liam had already gotten through 2 pages. After a while, they both read the same number of pages. How many pages had each one read? The had read the books for 12 minutes.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let the number of minutes be x.

    Tess = 51 + 1x

    Ronald = 15 + 4x

    When both read the same number of pages:

    51 + 1x = 15 + 4x

    3x = 36

    x = 12
