Find the inverse function of (show work)

    y=x^2-4

    first switch x and y to get:

    x=y^2-4

    now solve to isolate y like a normal function. Start by adding 4 on both sides of the equation.

    x+4=y^2

    then take the square root of both sides to isolate y and that's your answer

    sqrt (x+4) = y
