A 3-gallon cylindrical water container has a height of 1.5 feet and a radius of 3.5 inches. Nate fills up a 2-gallon jug from the container before going on a hike.     3-gallon cylindrical water container

    height = 1.5 feet

    radius = 3.5 inches

    1.5 ft * 12inches/ft = 18 inches

    Volume = 3.14 * 3.5² * 18

    V = 692.37 cubic inches

    692.37 in³ / 3 gallons = 230.79 in³ per gallon

    230.79 in³ = 3.14 * 3.5² * h

    h = 230.79 in³ / (3.14 * 3.5²)

    h = 230.79 in³ / 38.465 in²

    h = 6 inches

    Answer is C. 6 inches.
