Patrick has a 600 meter skein of yarn. He used 248.9 meters of yarn to make a hat. Does he have enough yarn left to make a scarf that uses 354.03 meters of yarn. Explain.

    No, because if you subtract 248.9 from 600 you are only left with 351.1

    He does not because 600 minus 248.9 equals 351.1 which is less then 354.03
