Solve for x: - 5/6x = - 10/3 x=?
x = 1/4
Step-by-step explanation:
from the equation, Solve for x: - 5/6x = - 10/3, to solve for x we will first cross multiply
we have; - 15 = - 60x
divide both sides by - 60
-15/-60 = - 60x/-60
x = 15/60 (the minus will cancel out)
x = 1/4
check for your answer by putting 1/4 where you see x
i. e - 5/6 (1/4) = - 10/3
-5 * 2/3 = - 10/3
-10/3 = - 10/3 ... proved!
