    The first part of the proportion would be the known values of 32 people to 128 ounces.

    The second part of the proportion is X (the number of people) for 704 ounces.

    This is written as 32/128 = X/704

    To solve for X Cross multiply:

    32 * 704 = 128x

    Simplify:

    22528 = 128x

    Solve for X by dividing both sides by 128:

    x = 22528 / 128

    x = 176 people
