    Remember: factoring is when you take one number or variable out of two or more terms. In this case, the number you take out is 5: it goes into both 5x and 5 (7).

    The way to factor 5x + 5 (7) is:

    5 (x + 7)

    It's basically the reverse of the Distributive Property.
