This problem challenges you to pick out the important (pertinent) info and to discard the rest.

Would it make sense merely to multiply the orbital speed (3682 km/hr) by the elapsed time (12 hrs) ? If so,

    Distance traveled = (3682 km/hr) * (12 hrs) = 44184 km, or 27615 miles.
