Nail Polish. A Specific shade of red nail polish requires 7 parts red to 2 parts yellow. A mixture contains 45 quarts. How many quarts of red? How many quarts of yellow?

    7+2=9 parts

    45:9=5 so 5 times each part

    7*5 = 35 so 35 quarts of red

    2*5=10 and 10 quarts of yellow
