The length of a rectangle is 6 yd longer than its width. if the perimeter of the rectangle is 48 yd, find its area.

    w = 9

    Sub w = 9 back in to either equation

    l = 9 + 6

    l = 15

    The dimensions are 15x9.

    The area then is 15*9 = 135 yd^2
