What is, a car is 14 4/5 feet long and another car is 1 1/10. The parking space fits 31 1/2 long. How much space is left? If not how much more space is needed? Explain the answer!

    14 4 / 5 + 1 1 / 10 = 15 + 4 / 5 + 1 / 10 = 15 + 8 / 10 + 1 / 10 = 15 + 9 / 10 = 159 / 10;

    But, 31 1/2 = (31 * 2 + 1) / 2 = 63 / 2 = 315 / 10; 315 / 10 - 159 / 10 = 156 / 10 = 15 6 / 10 = 15 3 / 5 space is left.
