    2.8 - 0.6 (x + 2) = 2x + 2 (x - 0.2) ... distribute thru the parenthesis

    2.8 - 0.6x - 1.2 = 2x + 2x - 0.4 ... simplify

    1.6 - 0.6x = 4x - 0.4 ... add 0.6x to both sides, add 0.4 to both sides

    1.6 + 0.4 = 4x + 0.6x ... simplify

    2 = 4.6x ... divide both sides by 4.6

    2 / 4.6 = x ... simplify

    0.43 = x ... (thats rounded, and we need it as a fraction ... so it is:

    43/100 <==
