    y > - 2x - 2 ... this line has a slope of - 2 ... so it is decreasing ... it has a y int of - 2 (so the line crosses the y axis at - 2) ... this will be a dashed line because there is no equal sign ... this will be shaded above the line because it is greater then.

    y < = x + 4 ... this line has a slope of 1 ... so it is increasing ... it has a y int of 4 (so it crosses the y axis at 4) ... this will be a solid line because it contains an equal sign ... this will be shaded below the line because it is less then.
