A basket contains 6 pieces of paper numbered from 1 to 6. a hat contains the letters a, b, and c. if a blindfolded person picks a number and a letter, what is the probability that the number is 5 and the letter is b?

    1/6 of the times, the number will be 5. 1/3 of the time, the letter will be b. so, 1/6x1/3=1/18 of the time, The letter will be b and the number will be 5.
