David's cell phone company charges $0.45 for each text message plus a monthly fee of $50.00. He owes $91.40. Write and solve an equation to find the number of text messages did David have?

    T = # of text messages

    $91.50 = 0.45t + $50

    Subtract 50 from both sides

    $41.50 = 0.45t

    divide by 0.45

    92.2 = # of text messages David had
