Monica paid sales tax of $3.60 when she bought a new bike helmet. If the sales tax rate was 9%, how much did the store charge for the bike helmet before tax? The store charged $ for the bike helmet.

    Answer: First 3.60 times 9% = 0.32

    So 3.60 +.32 cents = 3.92 total paid
