Margie claims that the inverse of a conditional statement is the contrapositive of the converse of the conditional statement. Is she correct?

    Inverse: if not p, then not q.

    Statement: if p then q.

    Converse: if q then p.

    Contrapositive: if not q, then not p.

    From the above, she is not correct. T he inverse of a conditional statement is not the contrapositive of the converse of the conditional statement.
