How does the number of books left on the shelf depend on the number of students visiting the library?

well ... if each person takes out 3 books ... lets say 10 people came into the library ... that would mean (3 * 10) = 30 books would be checked out ... but if only 5 people came, then (3 * 5) = 15 books would be checked out. I dont know how else to explain it. The more people that visit, the more books will be checked out.
