Russell wants to weigh out 35 milligrams of a powder. He notices that his school's new electronic balance shows weight only in grams. The ratio of grams to milligrams is 1:1,000. How many grams of powder does Russell need to weigh out?

    35,000 because if one 1 is 1000 then you would do 35 times a thousand and get 35000
