    -2.7 bause you subtract 5x on both sides and that would become 5 = 3 (-4) - 10x

3 (-4) = - 12 and so that will be 5=-12-10x then you add 12 to each side. that would then become 27=-10x But we still need to get rid of the - on the 10x so 10x=-27

so the answer is - 2.7.

    5x + 5 = 15x - 12 - 10x

    5x + 5 = 5x - 12

You add the 15x and - 10x which will give you a 5x then you minus the 5x from the left or right to the other 5x, but it doesn't really matter which 5x you minus (or use) then you will be left with 5 = - 12 which gives you a no solution as your answer.
