How can linear equations and functions be written and graphed?

    Linear equations always follow the basic formula of y = mx + b, m being the slope and b being the constant.

    They can be graphed by using a table of values and calculating the y values for each x value because the function is simple enough to do by hand. The graph would look like a straight line.
