At the same time a 2-meter street sign casts a 3-meter shadow, a telephone pole casts a 12.3-meter shadow. how tall is the telephone pole?

    The 2 triangles formed will be similar so:-

    3 / 12.3 = 2 / x where x = height of the telephone pole

    x = 12.3 * 2 / 3 = 8.2 m Answer
