The perimeter of a rectangle is 62 feet the width of the rectangle is 5 feet less than twice its length find the area of the rectangle

    Perimeter = 62 feet

    Width = 2 (X*2 - 5) + 2x = 62

    4x - 10 + 2x = 62

    6x - 10 = 62

    6x = 72

    x = 12

    Length = 12

    Width = 12 * 2 - 5 = 19

    19 * 12 = 228 ftx^{2}
