A clothing maker accepts the initial price of 400 tepizs/m^2 in a small island. The price of this cloth in New York is 120 dollar/yard^2.

If the clothing maker bought 500m^2 of this fabric, how much money did he lose? (in dollars)

Use 1 tepiz = 0.625 dollars and 0.9144m = 1 yard.

    400 tepizs/m^2 = 250$/m^2, 120 dollar/yard^2=143.51$/m^2, (because 1 tepiz = 0.625 dollars and 0.9144m = 1 yard, simple calculus), so

    250$ - 143.51$ = $106.4
