Y=5/3x+1 and y=5/4x-7 determine if the equations are parallel, perpendicular or neither

    Those equations would be Neither

    It is not a parallel line because for it to be a parallel line, your slope must be the same. Since the slopes are 5/3 and 5/4, they are not the same.

    It is not a perpendicular line because a perpendicular line needs to intersect at a 90 degree angle when they intersect from each other (looks like a X). Usually a perpendicular line have a positive and negative equations. Since the slope are both positive, there is no way they would intersect at a 90 degree angle

    So your answer would be Neither.
