    (a) 25 miles

    (b) $225

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let the price charged be P and distance be d

    For truck A

    P=7d+50

    For truck B

    P=2d+175

    When two trucks charge the same, P for A and B are equal hence

    7d+50=2d+175

    Combining like terms

    7d-2d=175-50

    5d=125

    d=125/5=25

    The distance is 25 miles

    The amount will be

    For truck A

    P=7 (25) + 50=$225

    For truck B

    P=2 (25) + 175=$225
