Anika made 36 jars of plum jelly and 48 jars of grape jelly. She is putting the jars into boxes of identical size. Each box will only have one kind of jelly. What is the greatest number of jars of jelly she can have in a box?

    12 is the greatest number of jars of jelly she can have in each box because 36 divided by 3 is 12 and 48 divided by 4 is 12. So they each will have the same amount in each box.
