A mirror is 2 and 1/4 feet wide and has an area of 9 and 3/4 square feet. Which is the best estimate for the length of the mirror.

    Area = length * width

    9.75 = (length) * (2.25)

    length = (9.75) / (2.25)

    length=4.333333333 feet
