The circle will be enlarged by a scale factor of 4. What will be the area of the new circle

    We are given that the dimension of the circle is increased by a factor of 4. This means that the linear dimensions are increased by up to four times. The area is therefore increase to up to 16 times. To answer this query, what ever the area of the old circle must be multiplied by 16 to get the area of the new circle.
