Translate the following words to algebra symbols, using "n" as the variable. Ten less than a number is 15.

    a number = n

    is 15 = = 15

    So we have 10 less than a number ...

    n - 10

    is 15 ...

    = 15

    Put them together ...

    n - 10 = 15
