    [g o f o h] (-5) means the same as g (f (h (-5)))

Just like a normal math problem you start at the inner most part-h (-5). Then use the answer (-2) for the next inner part-f (-2). Finally that answer is used for the outer most part-g (-3). Which comes to - 6.
