Find the measures of two complementary angles if one angle is 18degrees more than three times the other angle.

    We call these angles a and b.

    we have the sum a+b=90

    and 3b+18=a

    So we have this equation by replacing

    3b+18+b=90 or 4b=72 or b=18 and a=72
