The Wilson Manufacturing Company uses a machine to stamp out parts for lawn mowers. On average, the machine will produce 7 defective parts for each 1,000 made. Using a direct variation formula, determine the number of defective parts that would be expected if the machine produced 7,000 parts.

    Knowing that Wilson Manufacturing company stamp out an average of 7 defective parts out of 1000 pieces, by using direct variation in answering the question, the answer will be 49 defective parts. variables in which one is a constant multiple of the other. for the equation it should be 7pcs per 1000 multiply by 7 due for the total of 7000. your answer is 49pcs.
