4x + 1 = 1/3x + 10 simplify the equation 4x+1=1/3x+10 move all terms containing x to the left and all other terms to the right. + 4x-3x=+10-1 simplify left and right side of the equation. + 1x=+9 divide both sides of the equation by 1 to get x.
x=9
