Find the length of DE if triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DEF. Side AB is 3x-6, side DE is x+8 and side EF is 2x+7.

    Because ABC is congruent to triangle DEF then

    AB = DE

    3x - 6 = x + 8

    3x - x = 8 + 6

    2x = 14

    x = 7

    DE = x + 8 = 7 + 8 = 15
