How are multiplying whole numbers and multiplying decimals similar and different

    They are different because multiplying whole numbers: you get a whole number ex: 3 x 7 = 21

    Multiplying decimals: you get a whole and part of a whole ex: 12.39 x 2.5 = 30.975
