You bought 5 pairs of socks for $19. The wool socks you bought cost $5 per pair. The cotton socks you bought cost $3 per pair. How many of each type of sock did you buy?

    For wool u bought 3 and for cotton i am pretty sure 3 and 1 left over

    I don't know how to explain it to you, but I do know the answer. It should be 2 paris of wool socks, and 3 pairs of cotton socks. If you think about it, 2 pairs of wool socks is $10, and 3 pairs of cotton socks is $9. When you add them together, it makes 19.
