    The answer to your question is 643 cm²

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Data

    Rectangle

    length = 36 cm

    width = 18 cm

    Triangle

    base = 5 cm

    height = 2 cm

    Process

    1. - Find the area of the triangle

    Area = length x width

    Area = 36 x 18

    Area = 648 cm²

    2. - Find the area of the triangle

    Area = base x height / 2

    Area = 5 x 2 / 2

    Area = 5 cm²

    3. - Find the remaining area

    Remaining area = rectangle's area - triangle's area

    Remaining area = 648 - 5

    Remaining area = 643 cm²
