In 2019, the population of the city will be 58,800.

From 2009 to 2014, the population increase by 12400 in 5 years. That is 2480 per year.

To go on to the year 2019, that is 5 more years from 2014.

We can write and evaluate the following expression to get 58,800.

    46400 + 5 (2480)
