Gabriel has 15 5/8 pound of clay. He will use 7/10 pounds to make each bowl. After making 8 bowls, Gabriel wonders how many more bowls have can make? Explain how you know.

    You would begin by multiplying 7/10 by 8 to get 5 3/5. then you would subtract 5 3/5 from 15 5/8 to get the remaining amount of clay after the eight bowls (401/40). lastly, divide the remainder of the clay by 7/10 to get the number of bowls that could be made with it - which is 14. the actual answer has a decimal, but you must have a whole number in order to make an entire bowl. you can check this by multiplying 7/10 by 22 (for the total number of bowls) and you get 15 2/5
