    16 pigs and 27 ducks

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let the number of pig be x

    And let the number of ducks be y

    X+y = 43 ... equation 1

    each duck has exactly two legs and each pig has exactly four leg.

    Total leg is 118

    4x + 2y = 118 ... equation 2

    X+y = 43

    4x + 2y = 118

    4 (X+y = 43)

    4x + 4y = 172

    4x + 2y = 118 - 4x + 4y = 172

    -2y = - 54

    Y = 27

    If y = 27

    X+y = 43

    X = 43-27

    X = 16
