    Option C is the correct answer.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Perimeter of current office = 88 ft

    We have perimeter = 4a, where a is the side of square.

    Equating

    4a = 88

    a = 22 sqft

    Area of current office = a x a = 22 x 22 = 484 square feet.

    Area of new office is twice the area of current office.

    Area of new office = 2 x 484 = 968 square feet.

    Option C is the correct answer.

    and is C. 968 sqft

    solution:

    perimeter of the old office = 88ft

    as per formula of perimeter

    of a square

    perimeter = 4 a (a = side of a square)

    now substitute the value of perimeter in this equation, we have

    P = 4a

    88 = 4a

    a = 88/4 = 22

    so side of a square = 22ft

    now area of a square

    A = side square (side x side)

    A = 22 x 22 = 484 sqft

    now as per question, area of a new office is twice the area of old office, so area of the new office is = 484 x 2 = 968sqft
