Use the formula A=bh, where A is the area, b is the base length, and h is the height of the parallelogram, to solve this problem. Mr. Bill orders a parallelogram-shaped window for one of the rooms in the house he is building. The window has an area of 1440 in². The height of the window is 32 inches. What is the length of the base of the window?

    A=bh

    1440=b (32)

    1440/32=b (32) / 32

    base=45 inches
