A ladder leans against a building. The angle of elevation of the ladder is 70. The top of the ladder is 25ft from the ground. To the nearest tenth of a foot, how long is the ladder?

A. 7.7ft

B. 24.7 ft

    Use the sin ratio to find the length of the ladder which is also our hypotenuse of the right triangle. sin70=25/x. Solving for x gives you x = 25/sin70. Do that on your calculator in degree mode to find that x = 26.6
