    Let x be the number of boxes sold by Alison, 3x be the number of boxes sold by Stephanie

    and 4x-2 be the number of boxes sold by Amanda

    (x) + (3x) + (4x-2) = 190

    8x + - 2 = 190

    8x = 192

    x = 24

    Alison: 24 boxes

    Stephanie: 72 boxes

    Amanda: 94 boxes
