8+v/4 = 20
multiply both sides by 4 (to get rid of fraction)
4 • 8+v/4 = 20 • 4
equation is now:
8+v = 80
subtract 8 from both sides
8 - 8+v = 80 - 8
equation is now:
v = 72
8+72/4 = 20
(80/4 = 20)
((20 = 20))
