Ben wants to buy a new collar for each of his 5 dogs. the collars come in a choice of 8 different colors. step 1 of 2 : how many selections of collars for the 5 dogs are possible if repetitions of colors are allowed?

    40 different selections because there are 8 colors for 5 dogs so it would be 8x5 which equals 40.
