    The side of the playground is 15.556m

    Step-by-step explanation:

    the problem tells us that the patio is square so all its sides will be the same length

    the Pythagorean theorem tells us that h² = c1² + c2²

    h = Hypotenuse

    c1 = leg1

    c2 = leg2

    Since we know that the sides of the square are all of the same measure, we only need to put only c since the 2 legs will be equal

    h² = c² + c²

    h² = c² + c²

    h² = 2 (c²)

    22² = 2 (c²)

    484 = 2 (c²)

    484/2 = c²

    242 = c²

    √242 = c

    15.556 = c

    The side of the playground is 15.556m
